About The Firm

At the law offices of Phil Studenberg, we focus on taking on the fight with the Social Security Administration on behalf of those who have been denied their rightful disability benefits.

Since its founding, the Law Offices of Phil Studenberg has helped hundreds of disabled people succeed in getting the Social Security disability benefits they deserve – and so desperately need – to continue living their lives.

Why Choose Phil Studenberg?

With offices in Klamath Falls and Medford, the Law Offices of Phil Studenberg are considered to be one of the premier providers of Social Security disability legal assistance in the region.

And for good reason: Phil Studenberg and his staff are dedicated to handling Social Security disability cases professionally from the initial application to the United States Federal Court.

Phil is a member in good standing in NOSSCR (National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives) and NADR (National Association of Disability Representatives).

Meet The Staff

PHIL STUDENBERG

philPhil was born and raised in South Dakota. He received his law degree in South Dakota after spending a year studying at the London School of Economics. He also was a clerk for the South Dakota Supreme Court for a year following the award of his degree of Juris Doctor. Starting out at Oregon Legal Aid in Klamath Falls in 1978, Phil has worked tirelessly as a Public Defender and Social Security Disability Claimants' attorney to provide quality legal service to all of Southern Oregon. He is a past President of the Oregon Criminal Defense Lawyers (OCDLA), a member in good standing with the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL), member of the Legal Council of the National Organization to Reform Marijuana Laws (NORML), the ACLU, and National Organization for Social Security Claimant's Representatives (NOSSCR), and the National Association of Disability Representatives (NADR). Phil chose to remain in Southern Oregon to raise his children and to actively participate in compassionate community service through several agencies. He is fully committed to helping people find a better way and quality of life.

SARA DYER

saraSara has worked with claimants for over six years with Phil. She does the research: medical evidence analyses, vocational histories, and Social Security rules and regulations for each individual client. She not only attends the hearings in front of federal Administrative Law Judges, but also has represented and argued for many clients herself. “I thoroughly enjoy the research particularly when it is in the course of helping individuals get through the maze of the SSA rules and regulations. Unlike criminal defense work, where there is “guilty” or “innocent,” when we win benefits for our client, everyone wins. Fighting for a client’s benefits so that he or she can at least have the dignity of some monthly income and therefore does not have to go hungry or homeless is very important to me, morally and ethically.” Sara’s professional background includes extensive experience in insurance, banking, brokerage, training, and management. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of the Pacific, Stockton, CA, and completed several graduate courses in communication. Additionally, she attends the NOSSCR and NADR annual conferences for continuing education in Social Security law and best practices.

JUDY LANDER

judyJudy Lander has a Bachelor's degree in English from the University of California at Berkley. She worked for a civil attorney in Austin, TX for five years. She moved to Klamath Falls, OR in 1989, and has worked for Phil Studenberg as a legal assistant since that time. In addition to her other duties, her priority is to make sure that clients are given the personal attention they deserve.

Contact the Firm: It's FREE

Social Security disability assistance is FREE. We do not charge you any money for consultations, filing applications, answering questions, continuing to update your case, or arguing your case in front of judges or the appeals council. The ONLY time we get paid is when we win your case. If you receive a “back award,” then the SSA pays the Law Offices directly. The SSA has a set fee amount that cannot be changed or modified by any representative. We explain all of this to you before you sign any paperwork.

If you're ready to put the Law Offices of Phil Studenberg to work for you, or if you have any questions regarding Social Security disability, contact us today.
